When I restarted my knight project, I had decided to drastically scale back what was going to be magnetized. I am still knee deep in the “magnetization phase” of this project. I’m not sure I wouldn’t have set this aside again if I had held to my original plan. So to keep me sane-ish, I started adding “rivets” to the Black Knight’s armor. The Quest continues.
Still building… getting the more weapons glued and prepped for magnets. A couple of third party close combat weapons for the lion knight of house Aegyptus ready to go.
Got most of the big guns glued together. Got all the elbows magnetized and shoulders glued into place. I wasn’t kidding when I decided to pull back on how much I was magnetizing on this project. I still need to magnetize the guns and prep the armor panels and then I think I’ll be ready for primer.
Small update
Managed to get a couple more heads attached for the knights. Maybe it’s just me, but seems to be bringing out some personality in them.
Building before painting. At least that’s how I’m doing it, to a point, then I’m going to have to paint some subassemblies before the final gluing.
My own house lance, house Aegyptus and two free blades. The Green Knight and The Black Prince. Going to go with fewer magnets than I had originally planned, but still magnetizing being so close to 11th edition and not knowing what it will bring, flexibility.
Time does have a way of getting away from me.
It's been a while since I've updated here or even glued my fingers together. I hope to have more updates and glue and paint flowing soon.
